Location. The Mamaison Pokrovka Suite Hotel is located in Moscow, Russia, two kilometres from Red Square and The Kremlin, in the Pokrovka district of cafes and boutiques. Chistiye Prudy metro station is 500 metres from the hotel. Moscow Elks golf course is two kilometres outside Moscow centre.
Hotel Features. Set in a contemporary design building, the Mamaison Pokrovka is Moscow's first all-suite hotel. The designer spa is spread over two floors, and offers thalassotherapy, hydrotherapy, massages, a sauna, Turkish bath, and swimming pool. There is also fitness equipment. Room service is offered 24 hours a day, and wireless Internet access is complimentary. Complimentary buffet breakfast is available for single occupancy rooms.
The Numbers Restaurant serves European dishes with Eastern influences, in an Art Deco setting. The similarly styled Tezon Bar offers drinks, including specialist tequila. The hotel offers a boardroom holding up to 10 persons, while the Meeting Room accommodates up to 60 persons.
Suites. The 84 air-conditioned suites range from Junior to Presidential, and are decorated in combinations of 1930s modernism and 1950s pastel shades. All have parquet floors, satellite television with video-on-demand, direct-dial phones, wireless Internet access, safes, minibars, and complimentary bottled water replenished daily. Welcome pastries are provided on arrival. Sleek bathrooms include complimentary toiletries by Ermenegildo Zegna, bathrobes, and hair dryers. The deluxe suites offer kitchenettes and living rooms, and the top range offers two bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms, and panoramic views over the city.
Expert Tip. The site of The Kremlin has been occupied since the second millennium BC. In the last few centuries, Catherine the Great lived there, it suffered near-destruction in Napoleon's retreat, and became Lenin's final resting place; his embalmed body has lain in the mausoleum there since 1924.
